October 11th, 2004 #3oops! I am afflicted, I forgot to specify it in the first post. Yes, these drawings are inspired by certain works of sparth, because it is an artist whom I admire much. I forgot to specify a thing, "project-gaia" is for the moment a project amateur, we currently seek an editor.

October 11th, 2004 #6FSTDarin - thats weak man! you use sparths ideas without even mentioning him. Stop stealing art. these drawings are not "inspired" if you ask me. too much similarity.

hey miau back ur ass off, give ur oppinion but not like that. So what if u think its not original? Doesn't mean his skills are worse. "Stop stealing art"? Are u serious? How is that stealing? he made it himself, therefor it aint stealing. If he felt like doing something similar to something else just because of the subject, it doesn't matter how alike they look, still his work. Learn to appreciate.
Anyway, FSTdarin, very nice work, i like it, even if some ppl don't think its original. You got skills. My only crit is that his cape looks sorta bland. A design on the back might make it really eyecatching. Jus my oppinion. Anyway, nice work.

good try at capturing a technique FSTDarin but please remember when on the site how important it is to give credit to any other artists whom you referenced or were inspired by.
Sparth is a prominent artist here and failing to mention his influence is likely to get you discredited with the general poulation.
Hey at least your making art not bombs right.gif)

October 13th, 2004 #9ok maybe i was a bit rude. sorry about that - anyway. i think you cant use this images for a project without the permission of sparth. ok besides the green one.

October 14th, 2004 #12well im actually not talking about the pic thats showing now... he removed the other two
October 14th, 2004 #13Admiral_Hahn: naw dood, he removed the other 2. i am never to call anyone on anything, but they were very obviously done off of sparths concepts. all three were, he left the one that bore the least reesmblance up. now i personally dont care who looks at who or who has influenced who, but when someone posts concepts that were very obviously ripped off, doesnt originally give credit, and says they are for a project, it presents a red flag for me. now that hes clarified, its all good. but in the future people gotta give credit where credit is due.
Miau: i agree with you completely. these were obviously "borrowed"...but no harm done...l
Form
FSTdarin: thanks for clearing that up. hopefully this is not the last we will se from you. please just remember to lmention your influences if they are that obvious, or people will get angry

October 15th, 2004 #14With a little bit of *cough*hacking*cough* I saw the other 2 pictures yesterday. The link was edited, but the pictures werent taken down completly.
anyways. I like the pictures. They have a sparth feeling to them, but it wasn't what i focused on first when i saw the pictures.
October 18th, 2004 #15Hello everyone. I see that my thread causes small polemic^^. I hold all the same has to specify you that in this moment even we await the agreement of sparth, to be able to exploit the concepts which I posted précédement. To in no case we did not have the attention to exploit the key "sparht". Thus we wait are agreement. I thank those which appreciated my concepts. I have one can of evil has to understand that you say times because I is useful itself of a translator on the Net, moreover if you have bond towards a good translator to give it to me, that would help me much.

i just can't understand how you can say that they're "your concepts"...You're just taking Sparth's Pictures and redraw them.
On your site, you show many characters taken in french comics like "sillage", a part of your site, the shootbox, is exactly the same than "tokyo plastic v2"...
What's bugging me is that you say that people can contact you for work, but how can they know what you're really able to do from yourself ? Will you sell them art from other artists ?
Man, Artists are working hard to be as strong as you'd love to be.
That reminds me a few years ago, when my first comic was published, i've redraw two pictures from another artist and included them in two of my panels, today, i'm still feeling really bad about it.
I sent mails to the authors to say how much i was an asshole and they replied to me that it wasn't a big deal etc...because it was just for two little panels... it wasn't the entire book. But it's sad and i'll never do it again.
But the difference here is that it seems that 90% of your stuffs are stolen. (i wont say 100 % because maybe i'd be wrong).
Be inspired, not a stealer.
Sorry for my bad english, i'm not good at it and i could have said it in french but i wanted everybody understand what i say.
And if i'm totally wrong, all my apologies to you, man.
