I was going to say that the creature below could use a little more curvature on its arms to make it a little more interesting, but I decided not to because I thought I'd sound like a hair-splitter. Thank God I didn't mention a word about it!
Anyways, looking as good as always, maybe even a little better...motofoko dd

Strong lines! Remember...make objects in the foreground darker than ones in the background. But i'm sure you alreay know that.

    mm, neat designs mate!
Hmm, perhaps the girl posted last is a little short? Cramped? I dunno.

I hate you for having such a cool school to go to, and for the whole day too! Ack! hate hate hate.

Drawing, drawing has never made much sense to me - and I have found it very hard to teach myself. However I've been devoting more and more time to it lately and am starting to figure out why. I used to just paint with line actually... ha! It's actually starting to be a lot of fun, another language really. I'll have an update in my sb soon with my weak attempts, maybe you can whip me into shape pld:

doyle-cheers man, i am getting there, just so slowly that ill never make it . hahaha!
idiot- thanks man, ill check it out.

just been doing a shitload of life drawing the past 2 days, i thought id dump some of the semi decent ones, the rest were utter crap, i said to someone before you spend the whole time searching for it and most of the time you neveer get there, and they end up crap. sometimes theres one that stands out in your own eyes and makes it worth it. but its good coz theres always a million mistakes to find and try to work on. sorry about the photos and indeed the terrible quality of some of the studies i suppose they are done to suit my brain, once its registered the information i usually stop and dont bother making it pretty hehe. but meh, ill post it since its all parts of the journey i guess, and since not many people come here i dont mind i know im rambling but i just cant stop. ha!

most gestures are like 5 or 10's/
all done from life except the bottom one.

i really liked this 2 min gesture, i felt i captured part of the energy i wanted to. doesnt happen very often for me.

i felt for once i got the character of the model in these bottom 2, its very hard since i barely struggle to finish the pose, even then tehre were many parts that were off.

The life drawings are lookin dope. Do you go to life drawing classes everyday? I wish there were that many classes here. I only get to go once a week because that's all we have here. But awesome stuff mate, I like that you are mainly focusing on the masses and not rendering. The Skeleton is awesome.

no worries ashrumm, i appreciate it a lot mate

Idiot Apathy- haha sure, in return you will pose nightly for me, dressed as a superhero of my choosing. eh? thanks man , heh.

Skeiff-thanks a lot man i try not to get seduced by the details but its tough. yeah i go 4 days a week. its impossible to go on weekends and i have work on thursdays. otherwise id probably go 6 days.

bhanu-what do you mean ALMOST? jeesus. !!!
lol nah, thanks a lot man i always appreicate your stopping by! ill try to check your thread in a minute

so folks, heres my poo dump for today.

life drawing gestures, in pen expect last.. 5 mins all.

life drawing, cant remember how long. a fair bit of the day though, maybe 2.5 hours not including the breaks. it was so friggin hard tho, the pose was so goddamn subtle i was just screwed.

heres just a sketch i did today to relax from a day of life drawing, just fun (no, its essential haha) to draw stuff sometimes without worrying about using the model or a photo or something.

    Tough For All

Men in relaxed poses are very difficult for me as well <> I don't know if they are hard to do or just plain boring <> I think it is probably the latter <> very few good male models because of the movement issue <> I try to work them into more working poses <> pulling on a rope or digging motion or anything to avoid the upright stick!

For some reason the academics do these poses all the time because a drawing is about a 40 hour project and they seem to think because they have worked on it a long time and it looks just like the model that it is a good work. I admire the skill and the technique and the effort but the poses are still not very inspiring.

That's pretty good... for an asshole. Hahaa just kidding The face above right, the guy's head in the middle and the one above left look the most interesting to my eye... It's funny to see how a different light source can give a drawing a whole new boost.
