    Topic:
    COW #347: Colourful Candy Creature

    Brief:
This week we are going to satisfy our sweet tooth by designing a creature that is in some way associated with candy. How it is associated is up to you; Does it like to eat excessive amounts of candy? Does it make candy? Is it made of candy? Does it live in candy? Whichever. Also fittingly this creature is going to be very colourful.

    Round Requirements:
-Creature must be associated with candy
    -creature is very colourful

    Deadline:
Saturday April 11, 11:59:59 PM EST (GMT -4)

Here's the new topic folks, also sorry for the half ass brief as my file for this had been corrupted so I had to do a quick rewrite of it with very little notice...had all these witty remarks and everything

Thinking of making a realistic gummy bear. Not sure about the colors.

fabianguiza: and by realistic you mean not just a colourful version of an actual bear, right?

This subject reminded me of this guy, who I haven't thought of in ages...probably on purpose, because he is terrifying. I think I must give this CoW a whirl.

    Dear Rob Powell,

By realistic I meant trying to render the bear as if though it were made of candy (with the translucency of a gummy bear). Would that be ok, per the brief for this challenge?

That is fine, I'm just making sure your design is more than just a recolour of a regular bear as that is how it looks at the moment...was only giving a heads up in that regard...

I doubt I'll finish this one, but I figured I'd give it a shot, These creatures LOVE peppermint candies.

    Hey folks,
Hope everyone's working hard on their entries. I have some news when it comes to my own personal stuff, I recently had an operation on my eye, and may be somewhat inactive for a bit. I will try to post topics on schedule as needed however I may extend this topic since I may not have proper access to the site due to my recovery for this week.
    Good luck everyone!
    Cheers
    -Rob

    Hi all!

Rob hope you're doing alright. I have been away for a very long time. I popped in last week to show my kids what a great place this is and found this great round. So last night while the rest of the family watched a flic I had my Painter in hand and worked some very dusty, rusty, unflexed skills.
Next time I'll check in a little earlier so that I may get to know the new crowd.

Great works every one. hope to see some more creatures in the finals.

Thanks for the support guys! I'm doing fine for those concerned and my eye is almost 100% fully functional now! (tbh it wasn't a big operation and I needed just a bit of time for recovery, but Thank You nonetheless)

As for the way the topics been going if anyone is still willing to submit an entry I'll give you guys until midnight (-4 GMT) tomorrow to do so, then I'll close this off, [Remember you have to submit to the finals thread or you won't be included in the poll]....I'll try to get a new topic posted at around that time as well!
