real quick one today, going for that pictographic quality.
Not a glorious day for the Vikings, perhaps the gods are no longer with them.
    Painter, under 20?

The bad luck of the vikings continue on my one. First post ever, first "published" tablet drawing ever. Way too much time, OpenCanvas.

The only way to get maiden's is to steal em from the enemy after battle...

And then run like the wind!

I tried to play it loose and fast with this one and it wound up looking more like a logo than I hoped but I'm still happy with it.

Painter 7, about 20 minutes after doing a bunch of crappy doodles.

Thank you for bringing that up, just googled, and apparently they didn't wear helmets at all, this makes my think of how to visiually show a viking, with some examples right here.
Although if someone asked me to make a viking or a fat opera lady - They'd probably ask me to put a horned helmet.

I'm not drawing a viking from life

It's a cartoon, a representation of a Viking. If you were to draw a TV it would read more quickly as a TV if you put antennea on it....how many Televisions do you see with rabbit ears any more?

    for the record

I'd like to point out at this time that my viking did NOT have a helmet with horns...

but that was mostly because it's sitting on the table beside him...

Then did you know that Jehovas Witnesses are revealing that The Cross that is been depicted everywhere in the world were originally just a blank straight wood, there never was a cross Yet I have associated cross with Jesus and would not like to change that idea anymore the same thing with Vikings weather they had horns or not Im so use to thinking that they have and I know that most people identify Vikings by their horns, maybe it was created like a myth or urbanstory so that there is some kind of id going along with it, what is the wrong with that, does everything has to be so trutful and honest, I think that the horns are fun to draw and I like that if they can be recognised by putting the horns there weather its true and fact or not what does it matter and who cares

look I dont know why I love you I just do

i just wanted to let you know about that the horns on the helmets did not exist. You can use such a stereotype in your drawings, i dont have a problem with it . but i think art is more convincing if the artist know a bit about what he is drawing.
