What I've Dumped on ConceptArt.org ::updated - couple pics::

I've been meaning to get more involved in the community here; I can't wait for the workshop. I lurk all the time but rarely get the chance to post. I'd hate to be completely anonymous when I get to San Fran so I figure I'll sort of re-introduce myself with some recent artwork. I don't know if this qualifies as a DSB, but here goes.

I posted this first one over in the life painting thread so I'll get it out of the way first.

this one is around 4' x 5' but I rarely get time to work on it. any crits would be great though.

Ron's color theory tuts are one of the single most important things I've learned about art & painting. Like veggies: it may taste like shit but once you digest it it helps more than you can imagine. or something. Any way, they're much more than I've learned from school so far.

a couple quick Coro techniques (we've all got 'em, right?)

    bad scans, sorry

I learned why he's the only one doing it.

I learned who jetpack42's homeboy is (or was):

and finally some quick life drawings from last night:

hope ya like. let me know what you think. see you all in san francisco!

The homeboys are all that and a bottle of whatever that stuff on top is (olive oil? Sunflower oil?). Have fun in SF!

dada - yeah those coro's are rough. but the hardest part is picking out some good colors! the faces are gouache. always been curious about it but i had to try it after ron's sketchbook pics a while back.

flex - yeah, they were fun. I wonder if i'm supposed to have such a headache after doing em?

gillespie - whiskey, actually. can't wat for san fran!

mentler - yeah, it's nice to have a couple different avenues to apply style to. you know, another way to get these things out of my head and onto paper.

here are a couple sketchbook pages.
