    Wings In The Sky

I've had this laying around for about 3-4 years and always wanted to finish it. At the time i never felt like i could complete it to the vision i had...now i do.

I'm thinking that if you thin those black lines out, you'll have a very nice pic happening.

hey man not to bad, as far as the outline goes.. its not bad till you get to her left hand... its get extremely flat and def takes away from the piece. also.. the left wing is to close of a tangent for me. Bad placement of it.. either push it further in or further out. otherwise not a bad piece. keep it up.

    I think its Scratched.

I'll second the comment on the outlines. The style of painting is very...well, painter-ly, yet you have those black outlines like a comic book or cartoon. Ditch the outlines and paint the figure instead. I think doing that would convert this from a nice piece into something really beautiful. Just my opinion.

To tell you the truth, I like the outlines in the image. To me it is obvious that he chose to keep them in as a stylistic choice and not becuase he just didn't know how to deal with them. I do agree with scratched glass, though, the left hand starts to look a bit flat as the lines get pretty bold there. I really dig the design of the costume and wings too.

    Sweet piece.

nice image, the lines look ok to me, although i can understand why some people wonder why not take it to its final conclusion
the shape , indent in her back looks odd to me , i cant seem to get the volume on it right, perhaps its just my eyes ( usually is 0 still i like image and its nice when you go back to finish stuff is it not.

    good stuff

for some reason, this strikes me as completely fucking awesome.

I dont come here often, but when I do I look at all the topics on a page or two and check out what people have done. This time, yours is by far my favorite. Great job!!

I've never seen floating wings like this before and I love em, I think the composition is quite original with alot of presence & story. I still think a more painted look would do this justice. It just looks unfinished to me personaly. I would have probably spent a little more time on the wing detail. ; )

geez, why didn't i see this before.. i love it.. great composition, style and lines.. maybe adding a little more contrast to it or add 1 or 2 colors (just in parts of it) would make it even better.. nice concept!

    post more..!
