what makes a good drawing?
line wieght/ full value structure/ strong focal points/ good underdrawing/bla blah blah. what do you think

You pointed out the technical side of good art (Believable form and interesting composition is what I think are most important)
There's more to art than just that
Good art needs emotions. It must portray some mood.
Plus originality and creating something unique are always welcomed!

Ive been trying to think of what makes a good picture for ages, but I just cant put it into words. There are so many good pictures out there but they are all different. There is more than one way to make a good picture. And each picture has a different effect. e.g The sense of character might make one pic stand out while another picture may stand out due to the Powerful impact of shadows.
Im hope that made sense.

a good drawing does what it was created to accomplish.
a cool drawing is a subjective matter. Whether there was intent or not, it tickles some artistic fetish that the viewer has.
Encouragement keeps me swimming , even in the undertow of disappointment.

9 times out of 10 if the image is dynamic and carries a strong sense of movement I am sold on it.....unless it is all in pink.
