    DPI and Printing Help

I really don't know that much about printing my work and I have some questions. I currently do all my work in 300 dpi. If I wanted to print some posters at Cafe Press (11" by 17") do I just resize my document to fit those dimensions? Does 300 dpi include enough information to make really big prints or should I be working larger?

Thanks all. (sorry if this isn't the correct thread for this question)

think about what the final output will be and make that 300 d.p.i.
If you double size you get half the resolution. This means if you work at 5,5" x 8,5" and 300 d.pi. when resizing to 11 x 17 you will get 150 d.p.i.
