ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages! i give you once again the beast whose only notion of existance is defined by the consumption of copious amounts of pancakes, presented partially in color, a painting wip.

further offerings unto you, good ladies and gentlemen and beings from beyond the veil.

ladies and gentlemen and... others... i do appologize for the appearance of sketches on lined paper. i find myself lacking time for sketching outside of classes, where i am able to draw only when the profs are looking away. i shall strive to correct this travesty.

i'm such a for fantasy art, i swear. i try to break away from it, but i always end up crawling back.

sketched in photoshop. i was initially just messing with brushes (if you look closely, some of the linework is grainy), and i eventually built it into a sketch, and started cleaning it up. i hope to finish it off and color it soon.

i think i'm on to a solution for the d. compose anatomy issue. eating a sandwich between literary analysis and social psychology tonight i was struck with the realization that some muscle tissue would make d. compose look more rotten than bare bone. so i tossed some like "deep" pectorals on him. i checked, yes, they're pretty accurate for what they are, the lower layer. it's still kind of weird, as exagerrated as the torso is. less text, more sketch.

Yo Malicious baby. Nice sketchbook. One thing though, try to lay off the sketchiness. I can see you've done that in a few of em such as your comic idea but even when your just messin around try to incorporate lineweight to really show the form. I love lines, so purty.

    Hi, Malicious!

I'm with Daunting about the sketchy sketches. The scribbles are cool if they're really light and you go over them, but too many looks messy, you know?

You've got some really good pieces in here, but I think a lot of your drawings need some more oomf in 'em becuase they're just outlines. Makes the image look flat, even for a sketch.

I think your December 5th image is your best so far. Has dimensions and good lines, really creative, and it look anatomically correct, for a non human!

Good work man, keep posting more often!

    Ian

a project. this concept will evolve into a model sheet, and hopefully a textured, rigged, and animated unreal 2004 player model. i decided the scope of the original idea was entirely too ambitious to handle at this point. that concept was a collection of player models based on the four horsemen and their opposites, as well as a heaven and hell ctf or domination map. the characters would have been death, life, war, peace, pestilence, vitality, famine, and verdance. i had planned to make the opposites "compliment" each other, eg, a male death and female life, with complimentary color schemes and such, but again, eight characters seems like a big project for my low skill level. so i thought about four models with different skins, which may still be a possibility. anyway.

a wip for the "death" character.

the above is not an interesting character design. i'm thinking for "death," we see a skinny, manson like fellow with a hood. hopefully it won't look like i ripped off marko djurdevic's skeletor redesign.
