Quick paint tonight - I'm concentrating on picking up proper painting techniques at the moment, so C&C on the painting is especially appreciated, as opposed to the actual character or whatever. Cheers!

Gah, too many good things good unacknowledged on this forum. The ways in which certain works get hardly any comments and some get a shitload are funny. It seems you have to be either: Pretty fucking shit, pretty fucking awesome or have a very specific problem/question in order to get a decent number of comments.

Your piece is pretty hard to crit as it looks aesthetically nice, and there are no apparent problems with the anatomy, colour , movement etc.. The only thing I could suggest is making a more defined background for this peice.. give the character some grounding (or not.. if you know what I mean- as he is jumping) so we can where his body is in relation to the enviroment.
I dunno, it bugs me that so much good shit just sifts to the bottom of the forum , I didnt just wanna give you an asspat so I tried to give you a crit.

    Anyway Nice Work, chris

well, first off: i like your sense for coloring..
but.. i can't figure out if it is a person or just some .. thing that is in a dynamic pose here..
maybe you can tell me for example where the head is.. i don't see it

show some more of your work..
guess it's just me who doesn't see the person in this pic

Oh, and cheers schlo-mo. I agree, I always make a point of replying to the posts with 0, 1 or 2 replies, cause I get sick of the hero worship and the poor buggers who get no help. So cheers

Does anyone else find the image hard to 'read' btw?

For me Its obvious and easy to read.. Maybe your colour or monitor settings are off, Lim, and some of the body is getting lost in the backdrop

    nice

I really like this, it's great. I like images when they are more free. Personally I think the front leg is a bit off, it just looks a bit funny from where I am sitting, could be wrong other than that lighting is good meh everything else seems on.
