    Nudity warning splash page

Okay, I'm posting this here too. Which background do you prefer (keeping in mind that niether one is final, simply to get an idea across). Is the splotchy one just way too cheesey? The graphic thing just seems to have been done sooooo much by so many artists, myself included... But I dunno. Crits PLEEEEEASE!!

It would depend on the context the figure is used.
The first one has a strong contrast to the figure, the second one fits better the way she is drown, but its very sterile(Hippie experience vs. hospital-wake-up).

I think the first one is a bit much for that particular piece, Might look better if it had the same sort of color scheme as the 2nd one. But I'd have to see it to know for sure. Just between the two of them though I would say #2

Really cool pic Daniel. I agree with the others, it depends on the context, but the second one is my fave.

Only one crit, and maybe not even that, is she looking at the viewer or the back of her hand? As it seems she is looking slightly down and to the left.

I'd go for the second one the first is giving me a serious brain tweak, reminds me of one of my old screensavers.

I think her hand needs to move down alittle... hehe, I like the second background more, the first is rather distracting. But I would still give the backgrounds more thought, especially with your color choices. Since your shadows are a purply blue, try using those colors in the background maybe.

    Well, first one's out I guess ;p

    Krispee: thanks man

Jan: It's going to be the splash page for my new site (redesigning it). Basically the nudity warning...

Poshspice: Thanks man, I'm diggin' your stuff too. I agree about the eyes... I noticed that last night, but was too tired to do anything at that time.

Matt Smith: I will certainly more thought into it... I think the background won't really get designed to it's fullest (shapes and color scheme) until I get the overall design of my new site down. I will certainly try using the shadow colors in the BG, good call.

Thanks all! Numbah twoooo is dah weeeenaaaahhhh!!

I really like the girl - good color/contrast etc. but the neither bg really does it for me. Maybe try something much more subtle or maybe more illustrative (is that a word?)

    nice work.

nice character the first background just reminds me of a screen saver, the second one is a bit more design like but feels empty, not sure how to put it perhaps some sort of tie in to the character might help. i love the colours

    great stuff,

wait wait! dont discard the first design!!!
i actualy like it because the motion blurr totaly pulls me in. it plays with my brain, makes me dizzy. Then, theres the girl at the center, who eases the pain. (or maybe i like cheesy designs too much)

but then theres the second design that eases the pain alot more. its very comfortable to look at, but i must agree it is a bit dull and common.

have you tried a mix of both? classy design #2 but with txture of #1 ???
    hehehee.

Even though I like the second one more I think they could both use work. The backgrounds, that is.

    The figure is realy nice.
