we had no idea. there was a point when I thought three thousand was a lot. We cant take credit for all of this though. You all are just as key to the community now. We are just trying to steer the ship forward and take it cool places.

we are working on some tech that will make it even easier for everyone to communicate when on the boards as well as the new gallery spaces...there should be good progress over this next year. Im excited for it.

Knowing that other people love the community as much as I do only perpetuates my love for it.
The quality of the community is right on par with the quality of art.
    Cheers indeed!

When I got here in August 2002 I think there was only 350 to 400 people. Now it's +17k?! Amazing... and a good thing, damn it!

Yeah I never understood why people sign up and don't post! Why sign up if you're not going to post?

I wonder if vBulletin has some sort of purge facility for usernames that go stagnant for more than a set period of time. Say, you set it to 6 months or so. No activity, kill it. Or, send an email to warn, then kill it? Either or... this way the total user count is more realistic.

    eternal greetings

thank you all for this community!

before i get subscribed to this site (not much time since then) i used to -sometimes- view some threads here and there.. it was one of the webs i usually visited but now that has changed. CA.org is practically my only visited web everyday.
i think that has influenced in some way my life and pull me to discover art deeply.

yeah, maybe i could say that has opened my mind to a very important passion in my life. and i want to develop that. exposing me to the art of others, inspiring me and motivating me to work hard. that it is. and i'm happy to belong to this phenomenon.

now, i'm working to have some good (just trying! ) works to post in the future. for now, learning! and keeping the eye in all the great artists and works posted in the forums.

thanks jason, andrew, and others admins, and all of you guys for this!

It ain't so much the number of members that impresses me, but the QUALITY of the works of the members.

I can't think of another forum where there are so many talented people that actively post.

I'll second that. And also the quality of the people in general. Top shelf all the way. Just look at all the friendships that have happened in here. And there is much less of the typical internet BS going on in this forum when compared to some other places I've been. It's always kept quite cool here. Gotta love it. Jason & Co. deserve all the good things life can bestow upon them, IMHO
