    Concept: Striped Bearded Stink Lizard.

The only animal said to have struck fear into the hulking north men. If one of its stink eggs got caught in your beard the stench was not only permanent but you had to change your surname to StankBeard. IE. Erik Stankbeard.

Native to the rain-forests of Brazil, this odd creature is known as O Bolor; which translates to "The Moldy One". In the West, the creature is known as a Moldewn. The Moldewn is born without it's slingshot like backbone. They are very weak and vulnerable up until their second year of life when their Osso Estilingue (Sling Shot Bone) begins to grow at a rapid pace. Which then follows with the sprouting of mold around the base, marking maturity. At this time, the holes in the top of the Sling Shot Bone produce a viscous, yet highly durable string material. Connecting in the middle, the sling shot is finally complete. The Moldewn uses it's Sling shot in a variety of ways: long range warfare, hunting and a marking of territory. The marking of territory is often a slinging of rotten oranges around the perimeter of the Moldewn's den/cave. For massive effectiveness, the Moldewn often travel in packs. Climbing trees with their tusk arms and slinging hazardous objects at their opponents in a simultaneous fashion, the Moldewn dominates it's forest environment. For close range threats, the Moldewn attacks with it's scorpion like tail, but it is only a last resort.

    Concept: Stink Bomb Slinger

The wilds of the planet Linapos are a beautiful but dangerous place. Packs of dangerous creatures roam the forest on the hunt for their next meal, relying on ambush to seize their prey. But one clever and odorous animal has developed a defense strategy unlike any other, the defense of stink. With its size and power, the Stinkbomb Slinger is usually formidable enough to defend itself from lesser organisms, but when attacked by the Black Terrons, a species that has evolved purely to kill, a more pungent response is required.
Deep in its gut, the SBS (Stinkbomb Slinger) stores reserves of a foul chemical known as Odoronium, the foulest known substance found on this world, which this creature is immune to due to its reduced olfactory nerves. Unleashing this chemical in a volley of pellets surrounded by a mucus housing, the SBS defends itself and gives the Terrons something to think about the next time they attack. The odor and acidity of Odoronium leaves a lasting impression with would be predators, taking years to even come close to fading.

Would like to see some more people cast their votes...it always worries me when the voting round doesn't get much attention...especially for something as simple as voting...

Maybe some quick crits will entice some people...just sort of throwing my thoughts down and so its up to you guys to take them as you will...

BillyRoberts: A lot of what appears to be pure blacks used in the shadows, and pure whites in the lighting here can flatten the creature's form quite a bit, and some of the rough texturing also makes things appear flatter, the arm that is further from the viewer doesn't necessarily need the same attention to detail as the closest arm as we tend to come to the assumption that the creature is more or less symmetrical so you can simply indicate some of the texturing to help emphasize space and depth in the image...

CE RL: Interesting take...not a fan of the beard as it looks very much out of place on the creature...The Geometric forms are bit prevalent in this creature as well...it makes it look a little bit awkward, especially for the legs as they appear to have two joints (I'm not sure if that was your intent), and the spout which it uses to fire it's stink bombs seems hastily attached to the creature rather than something that could've evolved...given it's chameleon like appearance you could've referenced different types of horns on chamelleons and tried to come up with something like that for the stink-bomb spout so it would've looked more natural on the creature...

iAmCatharsis: I can see this concept having some really cool potential...perhaps if is had a more scorpion like stance while the slingshot itself could be actual horns as opposed to what look like a tree sprouting from it's back...the way the grass(?) is rendered flattens the creature's form considerably, in fact a lot of the rendering seems to makes this appear quite flat...try to picture the creature's body somewhat cylindrical, after settling on a primary light source you'll then add shadows and lighting based on where the light source is coming from...finall the pure black shadow is a bit red flag as it really looks unnatural as pure black does not occur very easily in nature, shadows are mostly reflected light, even though it is an area that it being obstructed from the primary light source, it would still pick up the lighting from it's surroundings, even if the background is just a grey tone your shadow would simply be a darker shade of grey...the perspective on tail looks a bit awkward as well, from it's tail it looks like we are vewing it from 3/4 behind, but the rest of the creature is at a more sideways view

scorge: the narstiest of narsty creatures here, I confess the head crest initially looked like a tattered frill that went around it's head at first and did look somewhat awkward until I really got a better look at it, probably because of how it kinda curves into the creature's head towards it's eye, if there were a bit more of the red from it's body going up the crest it may look a tad bit better...in fact even if the crest (or the rest of the creature for that matter) were more colourful, some stinky creatures tend to have a fair amount of aposematism in their colouration as you may notice in stink bugs and ladybugs for example...also not a fan of the obvious leaf brush in the foreground, but that's just a nitpick, anyways still an awesome design and one that got my vote for this round...

Divinnity: The lily pad-like feet are somewhat interesting, one thing that I think is what purpose could they be for? The creature initially appears similar to certain burrowing animals, but it's feet suggests otherwise...in fact it's hard to really tell what sort of environment this creature would reside in, desert maybe? the textures on it's back makes it somewhat difficult to discern what is covering it's skin, as it appears like a rough scaly skin (like Marine Iguanas) even though the creature appears mammalian...I feel like this creature could have a better posture for something that appears to be a quadruped, and the forearms just seem to intentionally elongated based on it's awkward stance...
