    Mentler: yes yes yes

Dan:yeah I gotta do more from life, was fuuuun

Tigermilk: Hey thanks, same here dude, like that area most.

So latley I´ve been loosing my art feeling, I know it´s getting back, but when?
I can´t also find the adapter to my music player, so no music drawing=not as much inspiration.
But I´m suprised, I´ve stayed this long into drawing, Im usually the one that quit first because it gets boring. So I´m a bit proud lol

anyway mostly doodling, but I´ve been having problems with the hip and chest area (all areas but mostly them) so gotta do more studies of them.
Btw the color sketch SUCKS. I know it is out of proportions and everything,. but please point out more. I know the mouth is too small, the chin a bit too big etc.

Yeah, I'm glad you haven't given up drawing, you will have hard times along the way but it's worth it to stick with it. Just wondering, but do you draw most of your sketches from refefence or from imagination? Because it's REALLY important to do anatomy/construction studies from reference. I notice you are having trouble with heads, I would suggest you go to the loomis book on drawing heads if you have problems. Alot of the answers are in that book, you just have to look hard enough.

When I do studies, they are from ref, but I don´t do studies alot. But that is going to change.
Yeah I gotta look more into the drawing head book, did that when I started. But I gotta do it again.

Yup, study study study. Cos those bridgeman sketches look quite good, a lot less chaotic then the other sketches.

Keep it up, then i'll give you a star extra.

betty edwards right side of the brain

someone stated this before, to read betty edwards drawing on the right side of the brain. This book has AMAZING results in just one month and it is a good read anyway interesting not boring so itll keep you entertained and build on drawing. You ahve some really good pictures here, you should go through your drawings pick the ones you did best then follow the path you did on these to do more in the same way. You have improved thoroughly on your pictures but seem to go back a step from time to time, non the less keep drawing ^_^ and keep posting

I'm not sure if this has been suggested but you have to Slooooooow DOoooown. Like was said before, get the general form of what you are drawing, a light undersketch, check it to see if it is consistent with what you are drawing. Still take your time. Do circles and lines to keep everything.. well, aligned, you know that stuff. But Take more time doing things, like I believe some of those are loomis sketches, how long did it take you? I did the Whole body muscle diagram, front and back, in about an hour in ten minutes. Just slow down, and put more effort into the anatomy sketches. For other imagination sketches, screw those, go crazy. But it's good your trying so hard, A for effort!

funny, I just scrolled through your sketches and I wanted to write:
"take your time, be more careful when drawing, don't rush. and read betty edward's book."
and now I see that this is mentioned in the last three posts. think about it

jeez, your an update monster! That's good though...

Apart from what has been said; try picking up a normal pencil also... and use the 0.5 for detailing and textures and such... if you hold the pencil so you have to move your arm when you're doing your gestures and such, it'll probably let you loosen up a bit.

Good lookin' out! Keep it rollin'!

The hands actually look pretty clean, hands are hard, don't give up on them. I think the biggest issue is that you haven't been drawing enough, really, try to set aside atleast 20 minutes or so a day at the bare minimum, we waste alot of time doing mundane things with no point, like watching tv. If you want to improve you have to draw alot alot ALOT. Even if you don't have time to post what you draw that day, still try to draw even if you can only draw for a few minutes. Good luck.

Your sketches are improving constantly, keep at it. What i found most useful is to try to experiment with different sketching technniques, Try sketching without taking the pencil of the paper, or instead, sketching with small abrupt lines. Different techniques will help you improve and give an idea of what youre comfortable with. Its important that you feel comfortable and not pressurised while sketching. One more thing, try to make sure your sketching hand is comfortable too ( which is why i like to work on high chairs and on a fairly low table so that my hand can rest on the table nicely- up to u).

So I´ve been at my father the last three weeks, and I still am. I haven´t really been drawing that much.
I cant scan here but I got an intuos 3 my father bought sometime. So I´ve been sketching on it.
oh, and I started loomis, but I forgot the books at my moms place so I´ve been drawing some from the net.... whatever

not to be lame and post without picture.
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

I did it very fast and Im well aware that it got loads of problem.

Yay an update, keep drawing you lazy bastard! Just kidding of course, Those sketches are decent for quick sketches, just keep working on it, I had so many problems contructing the head at first, it's really hard. You'll get the hang of it sooner or later though.

Thanks mates I gotta draw more and study more, lol but Im not so into rendering stuff anymore:/ lol

    anyway
haaands, just started to learn them, most of them are bad.
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

bridgman hands, I think the middle one is from life
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

    life is life nanana......
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

man I gotta slow down, anyway Im trying to learn the loomis head better, and it´s going better and better.
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."
    (these wasn´t good though)

    life hands
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

the figures down are mine.... the others bridgman, lol I really gotta think about the forms when I draw, so ignore mine down there
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

    some bad fast refs:
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

kchen and carl larsson studies, sloppys
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

carl larsson girl and bridgman study
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

man I gotta slow down, anyway Im trying to learn the loomis head better, and it´s going better and better.
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

    bridgman, wooo
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

very very bad lung_bug studies, oh well one is decent I think...
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

    carl larsson, woot woot.
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."
pretty decent, the head down to the right was from a very fast angelina jolie ref (yes I know I put the words in the wrong order but Im a lazy fuck)

so that´s what I´ve done when I didn´t update, I did some imagination pages, but all was very bad, gotta study more.
Some of these pages are from today, but not many, didn´t feel to draw so much today. But I will probaly do some kchen studies later in the evening.
