the one from oct. 22 looks real good! Your making great progress. I really like the page where you studied all the protrusions and cavities of the head. That kinda thing really helps!

Keep 'em coming, and I'll keep watching!

a bad expression from ref (it was suposed to be happy). I gotta lift the mouth at the corners a bit I think to get her more "happy".
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

you could say I made this half ref, half own, I was too tired to make the exact same outlines, so I just followed it some and then shadwed, I made her to masculine, she almost look like a guy IMO. yeah, and the eyes are a bit misplaced to each other.
"Eh, well.... I know how to look good...."

you are definitely showing some progress. the most important thing I think you could learn right now is structure. do lots more studies like the loomis ones, only on specific parts, and spend an equal amount of time drawing it from imagination (example: draw loomis heads for an hour, then draw heads from your imagination for an hour) drawing from imagination will show you where you still struggle, what you have to learn, what you dont know, then go back to the reference again and repeat. great job, man.

I self-published a book on the fundamentals of drawing from life.

Ok, you pointed out what was wrong with it, and that's good that you see it yourself! Your rendering has improved a lot, my man! Nice work indeed!

lol my favorite thing about this site is seeing improvements. You are doing very good in this. Might wanna point out a few things though. I know rendering and values are important but I'd recommend focusing on the subject your doing more closely. Go slow and smooth while your trying to observe something from refernce. Try to be as accurate as you can and after a while you will notice that your skills of drawing from life and from reference will increase tremendously. After you feel more comfortable with your form then you should start concentrating a little bit on values.

I'm subscribing this one, can see great improvement over the next few updates. Keep it up.

    nice update profil !

great to see the improvement, one thing you can keep in mind, everything you draw is crooked, try to activly correct that while you are drawing by checking it all the time, and maybe draw the subject really loose first with lines to see if its crooked or not, if it is, correct it before you start to work on the picture more...

keep on studying and studying art ! you will rock the boat within a year my friend !

    cheers !

Nice update man! I like the snail inside the "P" the best. Keep pushing your anatomy.. You've taken a look at the Fredflickstone-tutorials in the tut-section? They could help you even out the anatomy in your faces.. They're really good!

    More updates, dude!

You're improving wuickly Profil, but the last bunch you post seems kinda scratchy again. It's cool b/c some of the faces you do aren't prefect but the shading and such on them is really really good. Keep it up fellow.
