    Pen Tip

Hey guys, I had a question about pens. I use Pigma Micron 02 Pens to ink my art, but i also use the red pen to draw in blood, but the red is way to bright, and its not looking realistic. Does anyone know how to darken is pens without using photoshop or painter(cant use the programs to save my life ). thanks DM45

Try working a little bit of the black into the red as you are drawing. Do a thick outline of the blood in black and then go in with the red. The black should bleed into your red some and thus darken it. You may want to try experimenting around some first.

Or, you may want to try using a different red. Or, perhaps even using water colour or guache.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    ~Oreg.

if youve ever seen real blood, its rarely bright red, the local colour of the surface its on, plus the lighting can change it drasticaly. Another thing, i suggest against drawing a massive amount of blood, it can look really trashey.
