Tyler's Sketchbook of a sketch geek

Hello, Tyler name is Tyler. I've been doing a lot more sketches, studies, experiments, and all that (trying to get one a day this year) so I might as well post them here and get some good feedback while I'm at it. Also, sometimes I just can't think of what to draw right off the bat, so I would love any suggestions you can think of. I definitely want to push and challenge my brain.

So thanks for looking and any comments you may post.

    thanks chunkslayer!
i have a couple random sketches from the past couple days.
my friends and i do a livestream every monday where we have a topic and paint it for 90 minutes. thisnweek was mario bros, so thats where the yoshi comes from. i wanted to experiment in that sketchy style again so i did a ryuko for fun. and did a study trying to practice an older looking style.

Wow that Ryuko looks awesome! It's a great thing that you draw every day, you'll improve so much faster. After a while, it's started to feel very weird and wrong to me if I'd miss even one day. Keep it up!

@kabou: Thanks! Yeah, definitely. Gotta keep improving!

Here are a couple new sketches. The spirit is from another of our 90 minutes live streams tonight. The theme was monster smash, a battle between monsters. One of these days I gotta go back and work more on some of these sketches and see how far I can take them. and a quick mountain study.

    Thanks Betty! I will

I've been kind of on a Saga kick lately, so I drew a couple characters from the comic for fun.

hey! what a variety! i like the scarlet witch piece most, i think. i'm noticing that your 'sketches' look pretty finished... how long do you take on them, would you guess? also, did you use reference for the 'dynamic pose practice,' or are they straight from your head? thanks!

angieb- Some are definitely more finished than others. I would say I generally take up to 1-2 hours to work on them. The girl in the white dress and the air balloon village took about 4-5 hours tho. They were just a lot of fun to work on. Most of the poses were from reference, a few were from my brain. Thanks!

inkem- Thanks! I like the designs and characters of League, but I'm just too bad at the game to play it. haha
