tensai, joecool: i think i ended up using warm prismacolor grayscale markers. about 3 or 4 along the value range. the linework is done with pigment liners. (i'm a hi-tec bitch for random doodles, but for this work i'd never part with the liners)

    Abso-fucking-lutely incredible.

Your technical ability is outstanding. Your desire to experiment with new materials is, to say the least, something to be admired. You seem comfortable with so many different 'styles'... augh. And what I think makers your art stand out is that it has... I don't know... 'soul'? You don't just draw pretty pictures is what I'm saying. I think your art has real impact on it's viewer, and not jsut in an aesthetic sense...

    Anyway.
Sorry for the asspattery, but I honestly have no critiques to contribte... (:

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle being swept along is no longer enough.

    hello everyone!

just got done with school and now i'm applying to grad school of all things.

these are the newer paintings of mine that I submitted for my application portfolio. they are in reverse chronology. i kind of hit a snag with the simplified/sketchy heads, but I do like the two most recent paintings.

    cheers!

i also have my statement about artwork and statement of purpose in case anyone is curious about what's going on in the ol' noggin.

great paintings indeed!. I like the abstraction.. though sometimes its takes presidence over a readable image. Dead keen to see more of these and the direction you take.
Have you seen this guy?.. his work gives me a woody and then some.
