Nice start, at least your dedicated to getting better, and that's good. I see some pieces that are fast drawings while others you actually took some time to render. Keep up with your drawings and you'll progress in no time.

Soja- keep them coming, already seeing progress. Think about putting up on your walls the drawings that you like ( xerox copies maybe?) so that you remember them and can move on from there. also copies of where you trying to take your drawings artists you like and things that you are trying to learn, just by seeing them all the time you'll start to pick up on the information.

@Bojee: Thanx man! I will do that! I hope I could learn a lot this way.
It helped me so much to see how Android and Marko worked.

Yes Andrews stuff is really amazing!! And he's drawing all of his stuff
in such a short time it's unbelievable.
They way of Marko's drawing way is so sick too.
The WS in Berlin motivated me so much.
Here is one Sketch i did today.
And it was the first time i really tried to finish one picture in painter.
    It's a self portrait.
But I'm not really that ugly =)

Thansk for the crit in my mugglies, Ill keep em in mind for tomorrows! Your right about the bone, I do have a tendencie to over render it making int pop out like a sore thumb1

You got a great SB here, how great it is to see such improvement, the pages are really starting to come together! Love the reptile studies, me being an old herpetologist, i can really relate!
I may be getting an illojob for that exact purpose, so maybe ill ask you for some tips!
    Keep It up dude!

Ah very nice the last sp is really cool... now that you're not a roomie I have to crit you through the means of the internet

Maybe you should have used a larger brush for the other sp, since it looks like a "fast" scribble. It's very easy to lose yourself in details, when you're using a small brush... and when it comes to that scribble style it's kind of confusing.. hope you know what I mean!

keep posting man, love to see your progress!

    cheers.t

Some very quick progress going on here... I'm liking it

One critique I have is that I can see in the imaginary stuff you're struggling a bit with how to keep the body parts from becoming flat. Part of this will come with more and more experience...

Something you might try though... is when you go a life drawing session... instead of trying to make nicely rendered drawings... try and study the planes of the body. The reason I say this is because I discovered .. (at least for myself)... that going to model sessions and copying value shapes as I see them on the model doesn't really assist very much in the actual rendering of something from imagination. The reason why it doesn't always assist has to do with what Andrew Loomis said about planes. "When drawing from the model you draw the light for the form, when drawing from imagination you draw the form for the light"... ok so that's not the exact words he used... BUT it means the same thing... when you draw from imagination you have to get the planes of the body down... before you can start rendering... at least in the beginning... because if you don't understand the planes of the body... you can't separate the different planes enough to give a clear read of form. You end up with what I like to call running egg syndrome. If it helps... try and box out your forms more from imagination before you try to render them. A box is wayyyyy better than a sphere... because a line drawn sphere... isn't a sphere unless you put a second set of lines to create space... just like a box isn't a box without more than just the outline.

I would try and work a bit more constructively ... as if you're building a model in 3d...if you can, I would even grab a 3d program or a piece of clay and model yourself a head... helped me a ton.

Anyway, enough rambling for me... hope that helps
    Peace
    ~ Ben
