Layil- I hope you try gouache , it's a blast, the color you can get is great , the only thing you need to remember is that it'll dry lighter than it looks. It's fast too. Thanks for the kind words , can't wait to see what you do with it.

Edit:lol, gender correction,My bad ( I thought bengal was a girl ) I saw your self-portrait thread a long time ago and really dug it but didn't make the connection.Great stuff, now to check out your sketchbook

So where can i get these gouche at, and what is it. I wanted to try some EL Coro's technique and i guess gouche is one of the stuff I need, and ink wash, so is ink wash, ink and alcohol, or is it ink and added water, any why is it that I have a pair of left shoes on.......find out on the next episode of "What's Krazy Sok going to do next"

I wish Bengal was a girl, cause that girl on the avatar is Hot, with a capital DAMN!

Hey Eli, I forgot to respond to your last post, not exactly sure why they can't leave well enough alone except for $, bill cosby's supposed to be involved so maybe it'll be good. Fat Albert ran until 80, not sure if I'll have time to work on it though. Yours is looking good.

Thanks Bojee , it's really great to be acknowledge, you know when there's a time in your life, and you think to yourself, what can i do to help human kind, then i say hey make people laugh, make people smile, and best of all check to make sure your zipper is all the way up and not showing a shirt coming out of it.

I don't know how you fit it all in, but I'm glad you do.
I don't have enough artistic vocabulary to articulate accurately why I like these last pieces so much but it's the sketchy lines and the use of coulor that makes me just want to stare at them.
So now can I have the secret to making the day longer please

Heheh, you speak purty. Thanks Madoliane, A lot of this is older work so I just post it all together. Your right on track with the amount of work your posting, take it slow and see if your into it, it stays more fun that way, after a while it gets addicting though.

Sok- Hey Shaaaadduppp, someones trying to be nice! Lol your funny! Seee you tonight bro. Get there early if you can, i can only be there until a little before eight. SEEE YAH

Jace- Thanks bro, I haven't looked at Degas in a while, but he used to be one of my favorites so that's a great compliment to me. I think part of what gives it that vibe is that it's oil being painted on paper, the oil in the paint is absorbed by the paper and gives it a dry brush/pastel feel to it, so that might be what your talking about. I finally have figured out how to get my values looking they way they are supposed to in photoshop and now I just need to work on getting my color to look the way it's supposed to. thanks for stopping by. Love the new avatar.

these gouache paintings are great... have you submitted any of them to any of the illustration annuals? I think your slice of life stuff is pretty strong. the ladies room one, and the ones where the people are in a context/environment are really cool. nice stuff!

wow, thanks guys, I wasn't too into this last post but I'm trying to keep this almost daily. Sometimes other people can see more in your work than you can.

Jace- Thanks Bro! Wanna Bet? Bohhhwards Dowant Het Bac. Another good one; H-" Mr. williams you fought well in the tournament yesterday, your style is unorthodox." W- "But Effective" H-" It is not the art that concerns you but the combat" W- "the Winning" H- "It is the losing that you must concern yourself with" W- "N'ah when it happens I'll be too busy looking good" and "Bullshit Mr. Han Man" "man, you come right out of a comic book".

Eli- Thank you , I recognize some of your stuff from the session.

Cotron- Thanks dude, I used to submit a lot of stuff to the Illustration annuals but never had any luck, maybe I should try again.

Mentler- Hey I'm Just like milk.

Jens- Thanks, I hope you come back.

Liam C.- Thanks for the support.

JP- I've been missing your presence on the boards , as well as in person , thanks for the letter, I just got it today, I will try to return the favor. It's pretty rare that I get snail mail these days, so it's something special.

You got the fire of Watts in you already, your full of good crits for everyone.

I'm glad you like the punk guy, he posed for us once at ART/Not.

Hope you're doing well bro, hope to see you at Thanksgiving and schooling us in all you've learned. Maybe you can start a NW branch someday.

Matt- Thanks bro, when I was having trouble seeing photobucket stuff I needed a new modem.
Jokisalo- Thanks, I checked out your sketchbook and I reallly like the painting that your avatar comes from and the drawing that you said was your comic book style.

Man you've got some cool style. Again, I'm lovin' those gestures. So fluid. The paints are getting better and better too! The mowhawk guy is awesome! Keep it up, you've got one hell of a thread goin' on here.

Thanks guys for your comments and critiques, you know my art represents something more than just quality and elegance, it has a deeper meaning, each painting represents a number, and in that number it represents a word, and in that word it represents the divine intervention between good and evil, and thus you have my brilliant and obscured paintings of life, and (drum rolls)......the world of living. Oh gawd it was only a dream.....geez I thought I was a bad ass painter that sold art for millions.....sigh I can only dream of being Alan Rushing.

I was wondering why it was brownish and green....

Heh, yeah that's why I use the brown paper so much so it'll blend in more. I leave the early part of December, still a lot to do. You got to make it back to sketch group before I leave. It'll probably be the 11th or 18th of Dec. that's my last meeting for a while.

Intern- I like your avatar, looks like ernie from sesame street kickin some ass. Goauche is fun man you should give it another try.

Nova- Thank you so much, I've really been enjoying your crits lately, you've been saying some great stuff. That particular piece is done in oil, didn't no if you thought it was goauche.

Anybody know about the Fibonacci sequence? The ratio by which nature reproduces itself. Natilus shells, branching plants,.... Did you know that rabbits reproduce by that ratio.

Did you know that color and sound are related that every note coresponds to a different color.

    Fascinating stuff, somebody school me.

I really like that last piece, Alan. Your style is great, but when you do a piece like that, you push it further then normal...at least then I feel like you've pushed it in the past. It's great, but I think there's still more out there for you to find. Keep up the excellent work, man!

Bojee gets more attention than two lesbians caressing and touching each other, or more attention than a mild retarded man sloberring at the mouth trying to grab his own ass.....I gotta stop dazing off. Mo' Upwdates Mr. Whoppa.

sup dood. I'm really digging the 2nd piece, 3rd piece, 5th piece, and the last piece. the cools bleeding through the warms in the 5th is awesome.

Once in a while it seems the faces break down a little..as in...the person is losing form.

in the picture above, her chin is going askew from the rest of her head, which is throwing the picture off (for me). I'm not saying everything need be perfect, alot of times you work it out nicely without, but sometimes the errors detract from a piece.

    eep, don't hate me
