really like those black and white sketches, they're done using just black ink? think I'll try it out in my own sketchbook.

ditchman- Thanks, these are done with ink, gouache, and some acrylic white, Love to see what you do with it.

    UCT- Thanks.

Been trying some film images, this one's from Schindler's List, might work on it a bit more.

hey there. nice sketchbook. I love your watercolor technique in your environments, nice atmosphere.

one crit on the last one:
the incidential and blury character fits very good to your painting but imo the eyes are too sharp for the rest of the image.
i'm sorry i can't express exactly what i mean so i hope that you are creative in understanding me

what i want to say is, that the face looks more or less cramped in comparision to the rest of the picture.
from the distance of the viewer it is very unusual to see exactly the eyelines and stuff.
use some exidents wich happen when you paint more roughly.

cool stuff! I rarely see people use traditional medium now....all the people I know are painting everything digitally, even at painting workshops

that last one conveys nice sense of mood, the white brush strokes seem nicely expressive. (wow, I sound like a total dork)

Thanks for checking up on me Liam!

Been a while, I moved, then was traveling around a bunch, and then I started grad school, which will hopefully mean more postings.

Oh nice you are back Bojee! ^^
    Cool for the school!
I like the red spot on your forehead in the self portrait.
About the last sketches, maybe you could make some lines harder for the architectural elements, and I think that the perspective of that bridge is wrong.
    Keep posting!

hey man, its been a while since my last visit...really digging the textures in the cup piece, i would work more on the values so it pops a bit more out of the paper, that'd be cool.

Anyways, keep it up the good work man.

    staticpen- Thanks bro

tensai - Lok, hey dude. Love the new work, schools going good, and yeah I'm thinking about a lot of new stuff, new ways to draw and paint, and new ways to think about the work. Reading about the Abstract Expressionists right now.

    New paint-

This one is about 7ft, done on 2 canvases, I still have a way to go on it but hopefully you get the idea.

Spin, many, many gestures, about 30 sec each, all on the same page, as soon as I ran out of room I'd wipe it down, but there'd still be a ghosted image left over.

This last one is a reclining pose that took about an hr, I needed about another half hr, but you work with what you got.

It's hard to tell but these are life size figures done on paper stapled to the wall, over a period of 4 or 5 3hr sessions. I just kept adding figures to the composition.

Pretty good start here, just keep at this. There really isn't a lot I can point at, but studies are the best way to structure your stuff. I think it might also help if you focus a bit more on edge control
