    Talking First day of College!!!

I started the other day and I have to say its Great fun!!
Im also surprised how much I have learned in the past 3 days and I havent even had a tutorial yet. I never realised that well be using eisels alot,it Kills your arm especialy when you do it for 7 hours a day (which is good really).
I bet you guys must have solid forearms. My hand is a little shakey when it comes to doing fluid lines do you think using an eisel will improve it?
I got two yrs of this.

    Wrist Curls.
"They were born, they grew up in the gutters, they went to work at twelve, they passed through a brief blossoming period of beauty and sexual desire, they married at twenty, they were middle-aged at thirty, they died, for the most part, at sixty. Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer, and, above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds."

i started yesterday at sheffield college. i have mixed feelings at the moment some parts of the course seem really good. for the first 5 weeks all we are doing is painting and drawing, theres a digital imaging unit that lasts all year and we do photograpy and life drawing. on the other hand we have to take textiles and ceramics and it seems like the teachers really like the abstract side of things.

hey congrats on the course, i started mine last week.

for the writst/arm problem just make sure to take regular breaks and dont hold the brush too tight, you wouldnt want to develop a problem

Im doing graphic design at newcastle college, seems cool so far but were doing a 3 week art course to start off so maybe i just like the art side of things lol

    good luck with your course,
    shaun
