    Painting on Kindle Fires?

    Hi everyone,

I have a burning question which can't find a straight answer to on google. I was planning to buy an ipad or an amazon kindle tablet, but would love to be able to digitally paint on it. My question is, is it possible to digitally paint on Kindle Fire and what apps are available for this? I know you can with ipad but I'm looking to save a few hundred by getting a kindle instead ^^

    Thanks!

Yes, you can paint on a Kindle Fire, but there is no pressure sensitivity option. I've played around with a few programs, but Sketchbook Express or Pro seems to be the best available option. There's a Photoshop app as well, but I haven't tried it. I've done a few paintings on it, and it's very awkward, since I am used to pressure sensitivity. I could probably get a hang of it if I spent more time at it. . . but I don't have the desire to learn a different program or working method at the moment.

With an ipad, you can get a pressure sensitive pen. I haven't tried it. . . but sounds great to me.

Is there anyway you could try them out before hand?

Thanks Grumpysaur that's really helpful. Might just go for trying a kindle then cos would be nice to have a cheaper tablet for general use and also so I don't have to freak out about losing it on holiday Might save up for an ipad in the future ^^
