    Query for mac users

I am actively searching for a reliable mac based hosting solution.
Any of you people know anything?
Reasonably cheap and reliable are the two fundamental issues.

Are you talking about webhosting? If so, good luck. The server market isn't Apple's target market, so you're not likely to find many hosts using it. The vast majority of them are Windows/*nix based.

Is there a particular reason you're looking for Mac servers?

    More compatible, thats why.
But then again, a normal decent web host might be a good solution too.

I guess I'm confused, what could be more compatible than the standard unix server? No matter what kind of machine is running it, you'll likely us ftp to load your files up (unless you want to use a clunky web interface like some isp's offer).

If you want to keep it all in the family, Apple does some webhosting, go to apple.com and click on the ".Mac" tab.

So any server based on Unix is fine?

Molly: its for hosting an online portfolio, I use photobucket but I can't build a website with it.

    Hi evildisco,

I´m working with Mac (0S9 and OSX) here and there really are no problems with Unix and Windows based webservers. Even the more mac-oriented databases like 4D work without problems.
