    godzilla head sculpt/warrior sculpt

    Hey!
It's been awhile (year!) since I posted and I think it's time to come back and try again. Here are some sculptures to check out. I hope they are up to the insane awesome quality that I have seen on this site so far since coming back 5 minutes ago.
The warrior was made about three months ago, a birthday gift for my papa-san. He's a race I made up after I read a book on the Wodaabe Tribe of Niger:

Below is a 1998 godzilla bust that I made for a client. The pose is from a 6" bust that the client wanted reproduced into something imposing to hang on the wall. I wanted to go a little more nuts on the detail but I would have had to charge a ton more and I think he looks fine like this. He's about 14" tall:

Sorry for the image dump. Enjoy! I also have process photos of godzilla's paint job and construction is anyone is interested. Say the word and I'll post them....

I must say your papa san is a lucky man, that warrior is beautiful. Great feel and detail. Same on the Godzilla head, spot on! And I will say the "word". I'm sure many would love to see your process, me included. Thanks for sharing

    godzilla paint process...

Ok here's the paint process! I use cheap craft paint and three stiff water color brushes (big, medium, teeny)... my airbrush was choking up...
These are huge images please tell me if you want them resized, I didn't realize I had loaded the huge ones but figure I'd keep them up for the detail...

First coat of paint, really ugly!

    Another base coat:

    A little counter shading:

Adding some light watery coats for depth:

    Now some individual scale attention:

Blue metallic fins and presto he's finished:

    SHITZAM!

Just when I was trying act jaded you had to bust out the 4 Star Sculpts. I absolutely love the lion sculpt, the Godzilla one is quite nice as well, but I like my Godzilla's Old School... Took a look at your website, glad I did. Just about every thing in there is great. Hopefully, the constant encouragement of the small but hopefully growing CA 3D peeps can get you to post more.
