The UK def. Seattle THUNDERDOME! (Big D/L)

Here are the results of the Seattle vs the UK Thunderdome.

Judges will be davi, MindCandyMan, Android, TARGETE, and wes9000. I'll give each image a number (for match number) and letter (for indentification). Judging, you can just write which letter of each match you prefer based on your own qualifications (skill, execution, relation to topic, etc). You guys have the freedom to judge pretty much how you like, and speaking for myself, any crits are welcome. You can just post your judgings, or if you'd like them to be tallied anonymously, PM them to me.

The only thing I ask is that you hold off judging until Monday, so we can let any late-comers get in on the action. Thanks a bunch, guys.

without further ado, in no perticular order:

Bojee vs Poshspice: Britannia (classically garbed mythical chick with a big fork and a shield), and Liberty, (classically garbed mythical chick with a book
and torch). How about a new interpretation of our respective national icons?

No worries, Rhaucan. I don't expect Jetpack to put it up here too soon, though, because he's probably fast asleep (it's 7:30 am here). I, however, am positively dying with anticipation.

I know you didnt Davi, but I reckon there will be quite a few more of these...just figured it'd be good to have a 'place' for it to happen.

Edit: Its up there at the top now

    Wizard V Warrior Duel

I emailed it to him, but here it is anyway just incase he doesnt get it.

This feels like i'm sending my child off to uni or something. I don't think i've ever really taken this much time with a drawing, and I still didnt get to get it to anywhere near the level I would like. It set me off on loads of studies I want to do as well. First on the list is fireball studies

Also I spent my first half and a week, deciding what my weapons/equipment should look like

@David_York the time you put into the anatomy and cloth studies really shows. I'm really impressed with the stances, and the shadow work. The time I didn't put into anatomy and cloth studies really shows. Try and work out which of the warriors leg is his front, I think i've forgotten.

Thanks for this experience everyone, great work again

Wow, so much impressive stuff in here.

I'm glad i sent in a piece, even in its unfnished form.
Red - Kool killer bunnies. Not sure if mine conveys death via music. Oh well.

I really like the Battle of the Bands sketch, and Sketchling's evocative landscapes

Rhaucan - I understand about not getting it to where you wanted it. I could REALLY do with a few more hours, days, studies, etc... Felt great though. I love the sense of movement, your work is very alive. I live how you dodged drawing most of the hands. Was that intentional? I ran out of time and didn't finish (or start) the feet, thus the circle.

sketchling - I love the fallen clown statue!

Nova - your composition is excellent, the best of the lot. It really tells a story.

Dougbot, Sapphire, Poshspice - absolutely unbelievable!!!

lowpolymatt - You're so mean! It's hilarious. Of course, she is the one on her knees...
