    vaxa's progress

Hi, I'm new here. I'm feeling a little lost and lack some motivation atm. I thought posting here would give me some motivation and a new direction. I'm posting stuff from my current sketchbook that I've been drawing in since early July. Feedback is very appreciated whether it's light or harsh. A little bio: I'm 17 and I'm about to start my first year of college in about a week or so. Thanks.

Welcome to CA Vaxa Nice start, on your paintings, start off with the largest brush possible to lay down the base colors and values, then switch to smaller ones as you zoom in to do the fine details. Keep it up, can't wait to see what comes next Wooooooo hoooooooooXD

Yo! Quite a bit of sketchin' you got there. I don't feel like I'm in a huge position to tell you what to fix, since I don't feel like you have a lot of finished work up, but I might suggest working on your line economy a bit? See what you can do with the least amount of strokes possible, just to mix it up. Maybe practice with line weight a little.

Thanks for the tip, dude. Still new to digital painting, but I think your tip will help me get my works cleaner, haha.

Thanks for the comment I really appreciate it. I definitely agree that I need to work with my lines. I usually work with pencil, but switched to pens to build my confidence which is why all my stuff looks really messy. I'm thinking of getting a brush pen soon, so maybe it'll help me get a lighter touch and play with line weights.

Your sketches have a lot of energy, I really like where your going. I'm 17 too so I better watch out so you don't surpass me too much. xD

past couple days or so didnt draw as much as I wanted to. Messed with even more crayola markers I found when I cleaned my room and did some figure drawing from mostly imagination. Don't know when I should give a shot with digital painting again, but right now just trying to learn the figure/anatomy and such.cc821.pnga1.pnga2.pnga3.pnga4.pnga5.jpg
