    My first portrait drawing

    hey guys, Thank you for this lovely forum

    a while ago I started learning to draw portraits, this one here is a portrait of a friend of mine. It's my very first portrait try. Please tell me what needs to be improved. thanks so much

    Not bad.
    You could work more on your form. At the moment the image feels very flat since the shadows are very light, and there are no cast shadows.
    For the hair is better to not render every single strand. It makes it look flat and gives it a straw kind of look. Its better to think of the big masses of the hair and add detail where necessary.

    Hi

    Her mouth looks flat to me, as if it's a sticker pasted onto her face rather than part of a 3D form. This is especially true of the upper lip and teeth. It looks like the red part of her upper lip connects directly to her nose.
