My first attempt at digital art in almost a year. I thought I should start by doing these free courses and then later I might buy level up
Decided to start with a background from Disney's Snow White. I like the economy and repetition in here. This took me 1h 30 minutes, just tried to get the values and shapes right and remind myself not to get too absorbed to details hehe. And now I can see that I should have used darker values in some places, well maybe I'll improve!

Frederic Edwin Church, this took about 1h 30min. I tried to mimic the brushstrokes but it just looked weird. There is repetition in this work but variety as well. Was interesting to do this

Nice start on these. You are headed in the right direction. When you get your shapes worked out well, pay very close attention to the values. You want to match the values you see as closely as you can. It is important to be very honest about what you are seeing. try to put the accurate value down with each stroke as otherwise you end up having to fix things along the way and being accurate will save you time. Really take the time to observe and compare and choose the right value. If you are off, adjust it, don't keep working and come back to it. You are doing great...just need to focus in on value a little more.

    Keep it up.

Jason Manley - Thank you Jason, I'll try to be more careful

Another Sargent study, I just love his works. Once again reminded me how much I have to learn, but it was kinda exciting to do this! Took me almost 2 hours.

You draw very well. Keep pushing for value accuracy as much as you can on the next ones ok? That is your main area and is easily resolved with some tweaks of the levels and careful value choices in the beginning. You can note the light lights and darkest darks too...and key off those as you go.

    Keep it up!!
