Thread: LC's Stuff
August 7th, 2014 #1
I've been one of those 'ghosts' that've made an account to creep on forums and artists, but I've never had the guts to actually post anything. I'm a freelance artist, but I'm still learning so much every day that I feel very much like a student. I've noticed recently that my design sense sucks, so my main focus right now is the basics: drawing and design.
I'll include pieces I've done recently as well as my sketches, and the quality will most likely vary a lot. That's just because sometimes I get help, sometimes something clicks, and most of the time, I struggle. Please let me know if I'm doing something incorrectly in the thread; I've read all the rules but I might have missed something (like how to resize my images?!). And let me know if I'm doing something incorrectly in my sketches, too. Only good things can come from more help.
So here goes nothing.

I haven't completely figured this uploading thing all out yet, but here's some more.. and I'll be sketching today too so I'll soon have that up :X
Just a reminder that this is all a mix of studies, plein air, and concepts! If you have any questions, let me know!

Today's goods! A virtual plein air of Boulders Beach, South Africa. The link is here: https://www.google.com/maps/views/vi...tch=90&fovy=75
And I finished up this week's Brainstorm assignment, to create a new scene from Blade Runner. Pris is just taking a smoke break while on shift, before everything got complicated.

my therapy portrait study for this month i really really enjoy portrait paintings, but if i do them all the time, i don't learn much of anything else, so i try to limit myself to just a few when i'm stressed out.

Yep, I've decided you are my new favorite person Amazing work, and nice use of the lasso tool on your plein air studies. I need to do more of those myself, and seeing yours makes me want to go out and do them now, even though its raining outside my house haha. Though I think you can push some of your studies further, all of the information is there and it still reads quite well. So all can say for now is keep posting, and posting, and posting.
