Decided to draw a simple mosquito.

    What we learned Visual Library:

It was interesting to learn that all of the legs come from the thorax (middle section), and the blood is stored in the abdomen. Since insects have exoskeletons the mosquito's have slits on either side as well as plates on top and the bottom which open and close, allowing its abdomen to expand. It is very cool looking and is an interesting concept which can be used in design.

    What we learned painting:
We used to draw by mixing paint, but sometimes a material has dots of different colors bunched very close together, like on the abdomen. It is also helpful to paint everything on 1 layer where it forces you to pay closer attention to what is being painted.

Thank you very much for the drawing assignments Blackspot they are very helpful. Drawing by S.
