Study rock formations from reference before trying to come up with something like this from imagination.
Looks very smudgy with a lot of artificial textures.
Learn to paint with an opaque brush until you do not have to rely on textures, textures brushes, smudging etc. Then you'll be able to use them.
Painting in black and white until you learn to work with values is better exercise than rushing into color painting. Painting with real paint is better exercise than Photoshop. Painting from life is a better exercise than rushing into painting from imagination.
Well I actually did draw it in grayscale then did a quick color layer over it. I am trying to get better at the whole values thing so recently i've been only working in black and white to get more understanding. Thanks for the critiques, i'll try some photo studies later
