Lovely "space depth" of the background Blackthorn. I've not dared to attempt a full space image yet myself, nice ambition! One thing I found is the nearest planet doesn't merge very well with the rest of the image. I've never thought of it until now but the dark side of a planet must always be extremely dark because there's no surface for the light to reflect onto the backside of the planet, barely any atmospheric light! Fun I really like the magic glow of the storm anyway, was a good idea to include all the blue, green and purple colours!

Hey Nemodab,I totally agree with your comment regarding the forward planet. It was the last thing I added and I should have thought out the lighting more. Thanks for the crit. I appreciate it.

I love the concept SRB and it's well communicated Can imagine standing on some space-dock when some kind of galactic storm pass, pretty epic. Also good choice of perspective! Makes it look extra dramatic. Just be careful when mixing brush settings and make sure the transition of the different types are soft enough.

I'm catching up with some topics, it's nice to just pick and choose now I haven't done them all! This one I had to do because well... I thought it'd be funny to do a Galactic version of Storm, get it?

No problem SRB I love critiqueing, it helps me just as much as it helps others. It's so important to understand the value of learning from other peoples' mistakes, once you start seeing things that could be done better in work of artists you admire you'll improve so much.
