    Wanting to improve. Critiques welcomed!

    Hello everyone!

For a few years now I've been trying to get better at drawing but I've shown very little improvement. I don't think there's much alternative now but to share my work in hope that I might be able to get some help on how to go about fixing my mistakes and improve. I'd be truly grateful to anyone who can take the time to offer some advice.

My long term goal is pretty vague at this point but I want to draw well from imagination. Being able to communicate your thoughts, ideas and feelings through visual illustration is the greatest thing in the world (at least in my opinion) and so I'll happily dedicate the rest of my life to pursuing it.

Those are some great studies. I like how because you struggled with the bottle, you made yourself draw it again twenty times from different angles. That type of attitude is going to get you far! You already have a pretty good foundation and you're only going to get better.

Check out my sketchbook! Socially acceptable opportunity to yell at a teenage girl!

One more hand for tonight. It still looks kinda 'flat' and i don't know how to fix it. Gonna have to draw more hands tomorrow i guess

I used a lamp in order to get a better sense of light and shadow for this value study:
