Do you have any tips or critique on this piece! Its a wip still. The mask is going to be placed on a somthing, i havent figured out yet. A stone elevetion from the alter i think.
Its a Plague doctor mask with bone as material.
Its going to be a album cover.
Any feedback would be great! Composition, light, etc

Be sure to keep track of where your light is coming from and where it will land. Looks like you have two light sources - the green tree glow and the candles. Try and map out how you think those lights will land and what values/colors they will make. Right now it looks like the skull and stones are lit independently from an arbitrary source.

    Hope that helps

Feelt it was a bit static, so i added veins on the stone and did some more lightning on the mask.
Im going to add insects on the stone also

    Much more dramatic now!

The lighting still looks off to me. I don't know lighting well enough for good advice, but I'll spit out some thoughts. Looks light the main light is coming from above right... this would be much brighter than the candles. So I don't think the candles would show up very much on the right side of the skull. However, the left side is shaded from the bright light, so I would think the dimmer candles would be more visible on the left side.
So, maybe try reducing the orange candle light on the right side of the skull, and emphasizing it a touch more on the left? Also, the candles need cast shadows, and the skull cast shadow is too centered for the light to be coming from the right.

It's getting much better. Keep at it!

    Thanks Dahlia!

The main source of light is from the moon. Maybe its abit to bright also.

Great tips as before! I will fix the shadows tomorrow. And test out abit more on the lightning
