Stonec - watched the video, very different technique from what I do. But the finished result looks awesome so I'll have to give it a try.

Edgarej - his avatar is Kurt Russell you goober, what else would it be.

So today I did something different, designed my own Lego figures. It was fun but afterwards I found that the rococo one had totally been done before. Still needs work but it was a fun experiment.

Also I know 'preggo girl' is a terrible name but I couldn't come up with anything better at the time

I actually never seen the movies, I think. If I had seen the movies, I would have been too young to remember.

Edgarej - well nows your chance to watch them ! (Or not, its your choice)

Stonec - the truth is out there man ! I hope his hat reads as a tinfoil hat tho

Little update on this, started colouring. Think it looks kinda ugly. Don't like the colours on the space whaler. I don't really want to do a more involved rendering style as I want to keep these fairly basic. But they do look a bit shit.

Oh its tinfoil, probably try to indicate some creases that foil produces? You probably have foil so make hat out of it and use that as reference you can light it way you want

Stonec - I get what you're saying but don't forget it isn't actually supposed to be a tin foil hat. Its a plastic toy representation of a tinfoil hat. Or rather a drawing of a plastic representation of a tinfoil hat. Layers ! But yeah, I want to keep everything visually simplistic with a very flat rendering style, don't want elements sticking out.

Nickstar - thank you. I never feel like I'm making progress. But nobody ever does !
