Alright so here it is my Selfie!

SO this took about 3 hours do to do and man was this challenging. Study the forms and of the face I choose to do this position because I wanted to challenge myself, with what I know about anatomy and perspective.

Jason, I ran into a bit of trouble distingushing the different values on the different planes. I tried observing grayscale photos of African American to help with that it help a bit but with more practice.
The issues came from the halftones mostly and the fill and reflect light but I persevered haha

This was a fun study to do!

Okay So I decided to do another self portrait again and wholy cow is this one far more accurate in terms of capturing the likeness of myself, that first one was just umm yeah lmao

I learned a lot more on how the light hits the face!I wanted to go with a low key setting with this one. the mass light is obviously on the right side of my face! i had a heck of an easier time picking up fill light and high light.

The values arent picking up the same when I open the photo in another app, something similar to Grumpysaurs problem with the values reading differently.

Yep, your value work is improving. There is no secret to it. It just takes observation and practice. Try to match them as close as you see and you will be good to go...i.e. truth is found in nature.

    keep up the good work.
