Hello, I'm starting a sketchbook, so I don't drive people in my feedback thread crazy .
After reading Force/Loomis (well still reading), I decided to put some of what I learned into a study of figure and perspective.
Feel free leave harsh comments that are constructive.
I did a 2 vanishing point grid, then laid out some figures with a loomis mannikin in the background. I'm still studying both of these concepts. So hopefully I'm not overly dense.
And in case someone is going to say draw from real life, I do not have access to figuring drawing class/club near me, so I cannot do that.

Heeeyy, how'd I miss this beaut? Great studies here. Looks like your figures are getting stronger-- And I'd say your perspective's right there! Keep up the great work.
Nice, we started more or less the same time. Thanks for your invaluable tips
Someone gave me a great advice and thought i'd share, which is to keep 2 sketchbooks, one for observational drawings, and one from imagination. P.S I'd love to see some still life, I think it would benefit our rendering, value studies greatly
Let's work hard together!
Luna here! First, you profile is soooooooooo Cute!!!!!! ^_^ ＜３
( And... 您怎知道我的中文名叫 月亮 的? @o@ 難道我們倆認識? 嘿嘿o(∩_∩)o )
By checking all your artwork here, some of them are pretty nice! ^_^
But still need to practice more I think, I think you have a nice sense of beauty by watching your art. I suggest you try follow some of the artbooks if you like, I think you already checked the C Sir's thread I suggested....
The same suggestion, there a few books are awesome!(*^__^*):
Andrew Loomis - Drawing the Head and Hands
Andrew Loomis - Figure Drawing for all it's Worth
I really think they are the right books for follow by, take a few months later you will found out you improve by this!
Keep working hard!! More study! xxx
Thank you, yeah I've been reading and drawing the past month after getting Andrew Loomis' books, I think that's why my figures are becoming better and better.
I want to improve in composition, lighting as well as Figure/anatomy.
In some of the heads the top of the craniums are very big. Most noticeably in the woman in the 1st and 15th posts, it seems to happen as you develop your paintings. You should pay attention to the head proportions as you draw them.
I like how you rendered the clothing in your last portrait! Are you going to finish the Monkey God painting?
Lovely face and hand studies. Let's see more pencil work! Keep up the great stuff!
Today has been a horrible day in the office so far, server crash, laptop crash... all I got recovered from Photoshop was these 3 head studies I did while electricity in the office went down .
@_@ Poor you.... My laptop sometimes Blue Screen quite often as well... But we will live! Good luck, little strong Wendu!
Keep posting! ^_^
Your baby looks adorable, but also like Dr. Evil and mischievious. I expect evil laughter any minute.
But, more seriously, really awesome drawing, Wen! You're improving so much!
