Falkor / Fujur concept art (Neverending Story)

    0
    Hi there!

I'm new at this forum, and this is one of my first serious attempts to create some concept art. I'v started with Fujur A.K.A. Falkor, from the Neverending Story, trying to escape the influence of the movie and being loyal to the book descriptions.

It started with a simple pencil sketch that I scanned, and I used Corel Painter XII and Photoshop to add colour and detail.

I would love to read your opinion, critique, advice or whatever you have to say about it! Thank you!

@Tomeu Riera I love it, but I do have a question, if the light is shining on it's face or that general direction; wouldn't the face have more highlights or be brighter? Cause it seems like you have a tiny little light shining on his face. Thought I ask

Hi WenDu, you're totally right. I did the drawing without any references, so I improvised a lot. I probably thought that it was nice this way and I didn't want to risk and screw it up xD Thanks for the comment!
