    Iron Man Mark VII

Hi, First post ever here! I just recently started digital painting and I realised it is still quite hard to paint without reference. So I did a lot of reference painting for now. Here's my first one.
I also videotaped the process, the link is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAOIN...oKPQQgcmnvvjDT

This is excellent for your first digital painting. The battle scars and damage look great. It looks like the light source is coming from his upper right so I'd put some more highlights on his right shoulder, particularly the top portion. The chest piece is also lopsided a bit, with his right side being bright red and his left being dull red. Therefore I also recommend lightening up his left side just a bit and muting his chest piece a bit on his right. The bright red is also distracting/competing with his face/helmet, which is the focal point.
