    Cow Digisaur Sketchbook

While working on the Xbox version of Doom3, the Hell portal started infecting my sketchpad. While waiting for the editor to load or render, I've put together a mini-sketchbook of odd critters. I'll try and post a new one up each day. I also plan to use this space as I learn to use Painter. Mostly used Photoshop for 10+ years; switching to Painter is like trying to quit smoking.
Any critiques or pointers are always much appreciated.
    -TM

[Update]: Now that Doom and a few other games are out, things have calmed down a bit where I work. I've finally have time to come out of lurker mode and post again. Woot!

Dead links, etc. will be fixed soon.

House Call from the Bone Doctor!!!

Sounds about right --- never just wait when you can create ---think back about all the times I just blew time waitin' for others to do their crap when I could have drawn stuff and been much happier. Take the pad for fill em' full!

Painter - Props to Steve Wang

Steve Wang is one of my favorite artists. Here's his site for those that don't know of him...
    http://www.deathstudios.com/stevewang.htm

For today's Painter experiment, I wanted to do a little tribute to his awesome sculptures.

Holy crap, mad skills with them dinos, digisaur! Your detail is crazy. I like them lots, especially that last sketch you posted. Im sure you have, but is not you should look at James Gurney, he paints the best dinosaurs Ive ever seen, and hes a great concept artist (his dinotopia books are some of my favorites) Keep it up, cant wait to see more ^_^!

    Whiteboard Dinos 4

Thanks Mentler! Maybe I could show the steps during the final graphite? If anyone is interested.
Rollb82 - Glad you like 'em. I've dabbled in sculpting here and there. Nothing serious though.
I still keep a box of Sculpy around, just in case I feel like making something.
