[finished] she wolf
Hey, it's been a loong while since I've posted in here (and first time in ART CRITIQUE CENTER) so I guess at first I'll say HELLO!
I've got a problem with piece I'm working on right now. Can't get her gun to feel right. Is it too flat? Is it too heavy for her to hold it in just bare hands? Should I add some support belt? Or is it something else?
Are there any other issues with the image before I move on?
Thanks in advance for all your help guys
BTW: Why is thumbnail of this thread out of proportions? I used attachment to add this picture and on thumbnail it made it into square.

I really like the wolf - great brushstroke and loose.
I change the proportion and the background (i think its to much noise for a background). the pose look a bit stiff for me.
The head is tricky - look for ref like final fantasy7 and pictures of girls with guns.
yes - the gun is too flat.
i like the mood of the picture
Thanks for your tips!
Hmm... I think that still my biggest concern is the gun right now, and as you confirmed it's flat but... How to unflaten it? xD
Basically rifles are pretty much flat surfaces and I'm trying and trying to make them look more interesting and... I fail :C

really excellent beast, I think that may be showing the gun up to look more plain just because of the contrasting levels of detail. I have a little trouble reading the shape of the section below the scope and behind the barrel, to me it looks like a couple of pipes sprouting out of the body at a slight angle with the round caps on the end. This tutorial might help, it's on my list of things to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBmR...MXo4RuB3l5uowT. though I've never managed to draw a successful gun myself yet so take my advice with a healthy degree of scepticism.
Aaand it's done! Thanks for your support guys, hopefully I can pay back with some tips too. See you around, I guess I'll stick with the forums from now on
