I often run into the problem with designs that they shoulnd't be too outlandish, but look like they can still work instead; sometimes the outcome isn't that interesting when I restrain myself so much. Hard to overcome.

Speedy landscape for my world Genius Loci. I really like the effect of Unsharp Mask lately.

    More re-posting of lost images.

Mock film posters for fictional movies for an rpg. You can read the equally fake synposis' in my blog: http://ranarh.blogspot.de/2015/02/mo...criptions.html
It's a purely private project and I didn't invest much time in each. Most contain a large amount of photos - the figures in the one with the gun are all overpainted photos, the remote in C12 is a handle I found in a photo of a plane cockpit, and so on. Messing around with the typography was fun.

Wow, your sketchbook is a pleasure to see. I'm loving that there's actual concept art here, and some beautifully rendered pieces backed up with solid quick ones too.

    Looking forward to more!

Thanks, that's great to hear. I don't actually consider the stuff I post here really finished, they're still concepts at best. I think galleries are the place to show off finished pieces. Or should one also post those in a sketchbook thread?

Its almost brilliant! There was one piece (the flying rocks, light bouncing off) that I thought was brilliant.

Well, if that's not an incentive to keep going. Thanks!

Sketch I did on a roleplaying convention during a game session. Spent maybe ten minutes on it because all I had were a pencil and a fist-sized eraser. The character is from the RPG "Engel".

    The Boss's secretary

Final and WIPs of a character concept.
The brief of the online challenge was "the boss's secretary"; my inspirations were Mirror's Edge and Deus Ex 3 concepts I saw around that time. I never entered it as I didn't make the deadline, but I finished it in my spare time.
