Made me have a nice little read about highwaymen Was going to make a classic hold-up scene but then mech happened. He's angry he didn't get his pizza and looking for the man responsible!

Ended up using pencil again, but on A4 instead of A5 this time! Bigger paper equals bigger scene though I'm afraid. I'll add the original for the sake of the word sketch. Managed to save the messed up perspective somewhat in the colouring process.

Loving the brush strokes Popi, you somehow got down all the right shapes and foreshortening etc first time it looks like? I really like the design of the pizza guy's face GS, full of expression, could make a whole comic strip with him!

Very nice Nemo, I like the colour and the culture clash a lot!

I cheated loosely reffed mine off an album cover, made the foreshortening a lot easier

Ah that's the way to do it! I remember seeing it when looking through reference myself, but you made it your own with an extra dose of action. The rest of the body compliments the upper body very well. And thanks glad you like it

There's nothing wrong with mechs! In fact, I think that's one bad-ass looking one in a very interesting situation; and in fact #2, I might even suggest that you turn that into a full blown illustration.

And Popi, that's quite an ambitious look to try and replicate. You pulled it out nicely! I don't think I would've even attempted it. XP

After seeing your sketches, I can't help feeling like I missed the mark entirely here. lol I'm clearly unfamiliar with the reference..

I didn't know about it either to be honest, I've just realised that with Black Spot's topics it's a good idea to google it first ;D Taking the sketch either literal or referencing it to something else is totally fine though, even if it's accidentally done so! Like the new topic with the bear I got a big picture already in my head, and I had no idea it was a children's song before I googled it... But I still think I'm going to make that ferocious bear I had in mind anyway

And thanks for the suggestion! An illustration version might actually have to be made as the sketch kept me interested all the way, it's a good sign if you have to tell yourself to stop working on it x)
