    Getting back to art

Hi guys, my name is Wen-Xi, I'm a magazine chief editor and art director and I love to draw. British but currently living it up in Shanghai.
Used to go by the handle acidlullaby but haven't had time to do any art for what seems like forever since graduation and working full time.

Would definitely like to get back into the habit once more!

ok this is impressive looking at the close up I thought I noticed something. you are good my friend, using only the barest hard edges to show the form while by and large keeping almost everything delicately soft. I could not find any harsh hard edges or any other distracting elements. this is definitely pro work. I cant wait to see more.

Side question: for the WIP above were you planing on a specific background or were you planning to keep is more suggestive and dark?

All in All this looks like a beautiful start and I cant wait to see more.

    cheers.

    Still working on the hands

    Getting back to art

For the second WIP image, I'm thinking rolling mists and a hint of a mountainous background

Speedies/closeups, stuff I started as part of a bigger piece and then messed up with improper planning. Booo. Trying to extend a painting outwards with no clear idea is a recipe for disaster

Nice paintings! Where in Shanghai are you? I'll be going back to Shanghai soon! Maybe we can catch up, draw together etc sometimes.

These are all very delicate, there's a detail level yet smooth surface mixture that I just love in these. A perfect storm!

Great stuff, sometimes a little on the smooth side, but great nevertheless!
