Thread: Klifton's Sketchbook
May 31st, 2014 #1
Hello! I'm Klifton Riley and welcome to my sketchbook. I am teaching myself to be a concept artist, along with studying 3D modeling and environments. Hope you like what you see and I would love comments on my work and progress. Enjoy .

Nananananan nanananananana. Bird girl! ^^?
Nice start mate. You say that you want to become a concept artist and a 3d modeler? If so, I think that you should probably go back to more of the basics. What you're doing right now is more towards illustration.
Keep posting .

Hah! Now that I look back at it there are definitely more illustrations then anything else. Unfortunately I have a habit of trying to do to many different things at once. Thanks for the advice. I will indeed work on my basics. Great art by the way, way better handle on color than I do that's for sure. XD

Man, that last one came out really really well, love her pose and esp. her face. You really hit the mark.
Loving your art 2nd image too, where, you playing around experimenting with brushes? I do arty portraits when I'm messing with a new app trying to work out the brushes.
Kinda off topic but I feel I've stumbled on gold that needs to be shared:
Hopefully using this method I can fast track my way to be coming a masterful concept artist!
