    Hi everyone
My first project is going to be a bot/mech design. With that project I'd like to practice creating hard-surface characters.
Here are some thumbnails for now.

Ohhh i was a lil worried that i wont make it.
my goal is to be able to develop a solid workflow and to have the ability to "finish" a piece by the end of the 100 days
whilst improving work ethic and to the path of being able to work on portfolio worthy pieces.
for my first piece i have the idea of doing a samurai girl character. its currently vague at the moment as to what certain personal "twist" i would be adding onto it. so first im warming myself up by gestures. so i can get an idea for the posing
maybe ill do thumbnails on the next day

I will only compile and submit my studies right before the deadline for the day and will keep posting in my sketchbook at regular/whatever intervals and keep having fun in the process. My aim is to not get too technical or panic over my approach, relax, study and have fun drawing with a clear vision in mind.

To those who are watching this challenge, thank you for choosing to follow our progress and to those who are participating: Let’s have fun everybody.
Don't forget you need a Final Finished Piece by the end of the 10 days! Your studies are lookin' good!

My overall goal is just to get better at drawing in general.
This first project is going to be a harpy, so I decided to draw some pigeons from references to start off trying to get proportions somewhat correct.

    Day 1

100 Days Goal: to get myself to draw everyday without excuses, so I can go back to be in the habit of drawing regularly.

10 Days Goal: to fully paint an environment, I'll try my best but I have a lot of stuff to learn or, at least, try first, for example painting clouds, we'll see how far I can get

At the moment, I am planning out a graphic novel, so my goal is pretty simple being I can't ever finish a sketch... I plan on taking concepts and ideas, polish them where they are finished and then hopefully after I get them all together, use them to make a 10 panel comic strip.
Right now, I have just finished making a quick rough sketch of a dragon(loch ness monster...)I was going for something more original that didn't just look like your everyday thing. I don't know....it looks cool, but basically going to work on refining the idea into something that can be used for the first panel. so to sum it up... ill end up making the storyboard ideas for the panels, and work the designs of creatures and characters in there... somehow.

Here's my pathetic day one. It's gonna be Odin eventually, I promise

Anyways, since I really like Nordic mythology and Odin is one of my favorite characters ever, I decided to try and make a piece which incorporates him and his two ravens, Hugin and Munin. I was thinking of making Odin the main focal point and each of the ravens will be a focal point as well, and I'm going to try to paint something I never did before, which is lighting in overcast weather. I wanted to do some thumbnails today, but the problem is that I already know almost exactly what I want, so I kinda sorta semi did two horrendous thumbs, even though I knew all along I was going to go forward with the first.
Even though my day one is pretty much a fail due to unforeseen circumstances which kinda left me with a lack of time and sleep, I'll do my best to do this amazing character justice in the next 10 days.

Also, it'll be awesome to see how all of your pieces develop over time, and I'm really looking forward to it.

    Hi everyone,

My goal for this challenge is to try to create images that hopefully will help me enter the film industry, so i will aim to create concepts and key shots targeted towards that, i will do about 3 "mini project" 3-4 weeks each where's each project evolves around a made up movie and i want to generate a concept for the start of the story, middle, and the end,

First one made up movie is about a space exploration crew that arrives to an unknown planet with their space station, they land on the alien planet and discovers something that has been in hibernation for centuries there, so for first 10 days i want to spend on create the first shot in the story, still not to sure of it but here's first batch of thumbnails, think i will haft to look more into space stations tomorrow, not quite sure how things are setup on them.

My goal out of this is to start coming up with ideas and concept of myself, since I'd fancy to become a concept artist or illustrator of some sort, but for that I need to get creative, which I am horrible at which I will take the opportunity to make my own world where I get some kind of all around experience by doing character design, creatures, landscape studies and more. I will get a feel of everything to see what my niche is.

Best of luck to everyone who enters.

Just stumbled upon this challenge last evening. Thought I'd give it a go, being as though it seems tailored for me at the moment. Reason being, I've not drawn or painted much in the last year, and this challenge will do just that, challenge me to work for the next 100 days consecutively. Hopefully I can make it.

My 10 day goal for this piece: I didn't or don't have much thought into this first piece. Just need something to break the rust free. Just sat down this morning at church and went with it, came up with this rough sketch. In Christ, we only need wear his armor, the sword can be lay to rest as he will fight for us. Thats the inspiration behind it, so over the next 10 days I hope to take it somewhere along that, and flesh it out and bring it to a finish.

My goal over 100 days is to better my workflow, and work towards 9 pieces to add to my collection of finished stuff. I'd more then anything just like to string 100 days together. I've put my art to the most furthest back burner and need to find a way to resuscitate my practice and direction. And so it commences.

Best of luck to all that endure with me!

Hey guys. Welcome to all the new 100 day masochists.

I will be working on a character concept or illustration depending on time for the first couple of weeks. I think i will go with a dead/dark caster archetype. However, this may change after ideation.

    Hey!

So for the next 10 days I plan to do a character sheet. The idea is to show character development throughout a story, as well as depicting the characters destiny within one character design sheet. It's a good challenge for me since it encompasses design, story and presentation all in one piece. This sheet will also provide as a reference for the following 10 days (day 11 - 20) where I will fully illustrate a part of this characters story.

    Basic schedule:

    10 Days Character Progression/Journey/Development:

Day 1 Character development Chart sketches, gesture options, general design ideas and studies for final

    Day 2 Design studies

Day 3 Line drawings of each Phase

    Day 4 Color lay-ins

Day 5 Render studies and start painting

    Day 6 More painting

Day 7 More studies / continue Rendering

Day 8 More studies / continue Rendering

Day 9 Finalize rendering, look at piece as a whole

Day 10 Prepare and post Presentation

Alright, here we go, today I finished preliminary sketches, a color rough and thumbnails for the illustration:

    Assembly Line 08 - Q12 Company.

My goal is simple: [to make "poster like" images] - at maximum and full quality.
(that I can create at this stage that im in right now and current knowledge)
Also i target {Blizzard Entertainment Art} way of rendering.I would very much to push my style in this direction as much as possible. This is the style that I want to have it in my portfolio:

I really hope this challenge to be [challengeable] enough.
I really hope to be a GOOD challenge and not a mediocre one.
And I wish you all (the participants) good luck. I want to see exemplary work and most of all, progress !!!
    ---------
This first character or composition... it will be about a factory/(assembly line) of ROBOTS. (I'm comfortable with robots)
Or a single character...that is assembled. We will see.

    Hey guys,

Hope everyone has a great time, may you all last at least till the end!

Goal: My current goal is to make a portfolio specifically designed towards one individual card and board game company. This will go on until I have finished this project, then I shall set a new goal which will be something similar perhaps but aimed at something/someone different.

First up is Alain the cavalier.
A brief description in a form of poem from the official site: Alain, the Cavalier, "For Love of Glory"
I am the one who lives to tell the tale.
The victor is the braggart of his fame,
The first to know the glory of his name
But not the last. The bards now all regale
The common folk with ballads of my deeds,
The battles won by force of my prowess,
The ransomed kings who've bowed to my duress,
And Donahan, the noblest of steeds.
Sometimes I think he is my only friend.
The men I ride with? Those I can replace.
The maids I bed? Each just a pretty face.
Yet Donahan is mine till journey's end.
If he falls first, then part of me is dead.
I've said the words that needed to be said.

Today I did a few sketches, the main ones are as shown. The traditional ones include a bg scene, a battle towards the end with Alain and his comrades defeating the last of the enemy. One option is Alain being ruthless and already checking out his next target, the top one. The bottom one he is giving the enemy a chance to live if he surrenders, more of the enemy are rushing toward their defeat brother-in-arms. The other two sketches are just thoughts of different poses.

Here is a sketch from my imagination, most of the clothing design is from what i remember from a reference i drew earlier. More advancement toward my pirate creation eventually. Im going to do thumbs after i sketch some real world refs for awhile

    Day 2

After much consideration I came to the conclusion that I should set myself another goal.
My 100 day goal will be to become better in drawing and painting characters and paint more things without a template.
My goal for the next ten days will be the creation of a african native vodoo man. And good work everybody, I am looking foreward to my work on the first ten days.
