Hi, I'm Sean and I recently got back into drawing after a long break (about 5 years). So thought I'd upload some stuff that I do in my sketchbook. Will hopefully keep consistent with it. Any feedback and critique will be much appreciated.
Not much in this update, some bad Shinkawa studies and other stuff.

Did'nt get as much done today as I wanted. Oh well, tomorrow's another day. I need to start studying hands, really not happy with the way I draw them.
Slowly getting into studying hands.
Good start of your sketchbook here Draw from life as much as possible and use photo reference for the rest. Mix in some perspective studies too Good luck! and keep pushing it!
I like those faces at the beginning! Are they done in brush pen? Anyway, great job! Keep going!
Thanks for the encouragement and advice artplur, will do thanks a lot dragning. Yeah those were done with a Pentel pocket brush. Cool pen but I'm still trying to get used to it lol
Oh wow, it's been a while. I've been really unmotivated lately, due to feeling really crappy about my skills in general. Had to beat myself out of it lol anyways I've been drawing more the past few days so I'm getting back into things thankfully. Here's a little digital work I did... This is my first time using digital so I just kept it really simple. I did this with sketchbook pro on an ipad. Any feedback on it would be really appreciated.. I'm planning on trying to do some more digital in future. Seems like a lot of fun I might also have some more traditional stuff to upload later. Anyways enough talking outta my arse, laters!
Good work pal, you have nice line quality. Keep at it! I'd recommend some gesture studies to add some movement in your sketches. Also, I'm not seeing much construction lines, when I approach studies for anatomy, It's usually riddled in construction lines because im trying to understand the underlying forms and how they overlap. It's quite difficult to be thourough with understanding a pose when you are more concerned with coming up with a 'pretty' picture, something i struggle with all the time. hope this helps

Cheers mate, I'll have to keep that in mind next time I've been doing a little bit of gesture stuff lately but have very little experience with it. Will keep at it tho. Thanks!
Some gesture type stuff, maybe more later.
Haven't been able to get on this site the past couple days anyways here's some stuff from today.
Just some sketchy stuff before bedtime.
Fuck it, one more sketch before bedtime
Hopefully some more stuff later.
*sigh* not a very productive day today. I swear youtube is the bane of my existence. Hopefully tomorrow I will focus better and be able to get more done.
Haven't got much to show today unfortunately. I've been getting into the digital side of things recently. not showing any of it here since it's horrendous, I guess it will just take some time to get used to. Heck I might just post some tonight since I'm gonna do some digi sketching after this. If not then oh well, maybe tomorrow lol
Thank you mr Flopsie that's why I love brush pens so much lol.
Okay so I did some digital stuff today, just some faces to try and get used to it. Didn't go so well but I enjoyed it anyways lol. Hopefully will get some more in tomorrow.
Just posting some pencil sketches. More to come later
Nice work! Lovely faces. Keep working hard! You've already improved.
Some digital stuff still struggling with it but I'm starting to slowly figure things out. Obviously TONS of stuff to learn still but I'm embracing the challenge.
Some simple gestures to warm up.
And some random girl who I actually quite like the look of I might try and flesh out her design a bit more later.
Some thumbnail sketches. Pretty simple designs.
Finally some digital line art.
Hi Sean, I really love your ink work. I know how hard it is to stay motivated sometimes. I don't know if you've ever visited ChrisOatley.com, but he always has some really inspirational blog posts that help get me going. Happy drawing! =]
