    deaedbeat's sketchbook

    Hello, welcome to my sketchbook!
I've been a lurker since 2012 and this site, specifically the sketchbooks have been a great source of inspiration. Lately my progress has become stagnant due to schoolwork and laziness and hopefully making this thread will be motivation to churn out more art.

    About me:
I'm 16 and my hobbies are drawing and reading.I plan on doing an arts course in college, but career-wise I'm not so sure yet. I try to draw every day

    first image dump: beware

I don't have a scanner (yet) so these are all taken by ipad cam. Mostly just boring stuff like studies from last month and a bit from this month. Sorry its so messy..I'll update regularly to avoid having to clump so many things together.
2nd pic (the one with the blue heads) are from imagination.

Linearted these girls yesteryesterday and finished painting them in a trance just a while ago also tried to do something a little different with each girl. Then did some quick environments (trying to get the feel) because I suck at those. It was a fun day

@Aya-Kun Thank you! Yeah Mucha's designs and aesthetic are just so good.

Stuff from yesterday: some figures about 2-3 mins each,a Sargent study, initially character sketches that I ended up spending too much time on and an environment where I tried applying some of the stuff learned the day before, though for some reason it kind of looks off.

Hey, keep working on those studies. They'll get your colors and values to where they need to be in no time. Those Mucha-style drawings look really cool! Good luck and keep working

@R-K Thank you for the feedback! And I will

Stuff from yesterday and today: WIP of another Sargent study, the head on my thumb, doodles from imagination and along with that imageset a portrait from last month that I forgot to add in my first post, and lastly some studies. Been drawing too much humans again, need to work more on environments and animals.

    animals

Finally doing some animals! Felt bad about them then drew 12 pages worth of 1 min speeds, most of them were disgusting but I got a bit more used to drawing with my elbow on the last few pages. Also a rushed Mucha thing for mother's day.
