Your style of shading is fascinating. The description of form in the man with the arrow is particularly whimsical and intriguing! Please post more!

Wow! Your style is minimalistic yet effective in capturing the subject! Some of them remind me of a refined form of blind contour drawing in the way the contours of the subject are potrayed. By the way, do you just use straight ink, or do you do a light sketch first on these? Thanks for the update!

Thanks for all the compliments! I go straight ink, which might explain the false proportions in many of them, haha. I like drawing with a pen because its more spontaneous, and once I get warmed up I stop worrying about mistakes. The first few drawings are always bad, though. :p

Here's some more: These were all drawn at the Plastic Club, Philadelphia, with a live model(who was very good, btw).

Some trees I drew recently- more stylized than not, from real life, imagination, and photographs.

your style is really special , i loved the tree with pink flowers , maybe you need to try to make your line lighter in the paper and goes between thin and thick .. this could improve your line quality .

Thanks! Yup, Line quality is something I spend a lot of time thinking about nowadays. You're right, I need to experiment more with that sort of variation.

As I've said before, I really like your unique style. Those trees are so whimsical as well! By the way, I also think the messiness in your sketchbooks is kind of cool! Definitely keep posting!
